FOOT INDUSTRY's "Trace of Craft" limited-time space officially opened on October 1, 2026 at CPI, LuxeLakes, Chengdu. Following Aranya in Qinhuangdao and MixC World in Shenzhen, the brand once again uses space as a medium — weaving a sensory field of shoemaking craft and everyday rhythm into the urban fabric.
"Trace of Craft" is a record of shoemaking. The space unfolds like a craftsman's toolbox opened wide — a grid of wooden frames as its skeleton, Shu paper as its skin. Beneath low, dark tiled eaves, each small vitrine opens a door into the craftsman's inner world.
The walls are built of translucent washi. Light passes through, diffusing into a warm, even glow — keeping the space warm within its restraint. The central island takes the form of a washi light box, soft light emanating from within, like a quiet lamp in a toolbox. The exterior facade and interior, rendered in deep brown elm, stand cool and restrained — their warmth reflecting off the softness of the washi, creating the order and breathing room unique to "Trace of Craft."
Inside the vitrines: cutting knives, sewing needles, brushes, thread — the most ordinary, small, everyday tools of shoemaking, resting on sheets of paper. Step inside, and each pair of shoes has its place — each position exactly right, quietly tracing twelve years of FOOT INDUSTRY's footsteps.
This limited-time space presents FOOT INDUSTRY's FW26 collection, alongside LuxeLakes CPI exclusives and selected classic styles — designed for the different rhythms of daily life.
