In early autumn 2026, FOOT INDUSTRY brought its seasonal footwear collection into the deserts of Northwest China.
The dunes shift in form throughout the day. Low‑hanging morning light casts long shadows over wind‑sculpted sand. By afternoon, the sun grows intense, and the sand’s hues transition from golden yellow to ochre and burnt russet. As the shoes sink into the ground, fine dust stirs along their edges — the fleeting moment where foot meets earth, captured on camera.

Beneath this same daylight, leather surfaces reveal distinct qualities: softness, warmth and depth. The visual palette gravitates toward warm earth‑toned shades, as autumn unfolds across the desert through colour.

Wind sweeps along the dune ridges, steadily driving surface sand grains downwards. Footprints pressed into the sand are sharp yet ephemeral, smoothed away by wind within minutes. This mirrors the tides erasing shore‑footprints at Aranya. In both settings, walking becomes an ongoing dialogue with nature.

Rooted in the concept Flow in Motion, this season’s collection translates natural textures into footwear lines and structures. The midsole accommodates both the suppleness of sand and the hardness of rock; leather uppers conform to the contours of the foot. Textures inherited from the land travel upward from underfoot, manifesting as balance and support with every step.

No trails wind between the dunes — every step breaks new ground. Looking back, footprints are already half‑erased by wind, leaving only faint outlines: a wordless exchange between the earth and the wanderer.
Such experiences gave birth to the Early Autumn collection. What we brought back from the desert is not merely sand trapped in shoe soles, but sensations gathered along the journey: the direction of wind, feedback from the ground, the temperature of light. These impressions are woven into the design of every pair.
